Magnus is arguably the most overpowered hero in the metagame currently. Come see why! His skewer takes him an impressive 1200 range(about to be nerfed), which helps with escape and positioning. His other spells are impressive aoe, especially his ulti which is a sort of combo between vacuum and an aoe stun. Aim for arcane boots and blink dagger and land some good initiations and then you can win fights.
